Event Manager

The Event Manager reports directly to the Director of Sales and plays a vital role in creating exceptional guest experiences through the successful planning, coordination, and execution of events hosted at the hotel. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of retreats, weddings, social gatherings, corporate meetings, and special events from initial planning through post-event follow-up.

We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong relationships with clients while ensuring flawless event execution.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate events from start to finish based on client needs, event objectives, and guest expectations
  • Manage all event logistics including timelines, banquet event orders, room setups, vendor coordination, and client communication
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients throughout the planning process and on the day of the event
  • Work closely with hotel departments to ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest service
  • Source, negotiate, and coordinate with outside vendors and suppliers as needed
  • Lead and support promotional initiatives related to hotel events and group business
  • Monitor all event details prior to and during execution to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Quickly resolve any issues that may arise while maintaining professionalism and a positive guest experience
  • Analyze event success and gather feedback to continuously improve future events
  • Maintain strong communication with Sales, Operations, Food & Beverage, and Banquet teams

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of event management, catering, banquet, or hospitality experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook and Excel
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and guest service focused
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and event-driven hours
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check
